After upgrading Windows 10 to 1903, I encountered strange entry in start menu which is ms-resource:AppName/Test. The entry itself sounds really weird, I dont recall installing application called AppName/Test.
Based on my search in internet, it seems this annoying bug has happened for a long time without any cure. Fortunately, in August 30, 2019 there is an update KB451294.
The changelog includes :
- Updates an issue that may cause the name of an unsupported application to appear as default text, such as “ms-resource:AppName/Text” in the Start Menu after upgrading the operating system.
After the update is installed (and restarting computer), you will notice that the bug is not fixed 😦
